National Nurses Week is the perfect opportunity to review and celebrate these essential caregivers' accomplishments, and more importantly, work toward ensuring nurses have the tools they need to improve the quality of care.
While nurses give professional care to anyone needs it, SEIU RNs are also focused on bringing to light the issues that affect the profession: workplace violence prevention, safe patient handling training, nurse-to-patient ratios and so many others.
We appreciate everything nurses do each and every day on behalf of the health of their patients, their profession and our medical system all year round. But for this week out of the year, everyone else is watching in ... what better time to send our fellow nurses a message telling them how fantastic they are?
